SHOP FOREMAN

Elk River, Minnesota

Job description:

Our Yard Team is in place to serve our field operation, and the Yard Team will do everything possible so the field operations can be as profitable as possible. We strive to have deliveries made in timely fashion, to have complete orders and have all equipment and small tools in good operation order. We will employ a full time Yard Foreman that will oversee the yard operations. We will also have Yard Hands (1 to 2) to assist the Yard Foreman.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual with understanding of commercial concrete, masonry and excavating. As well as:

• Have Basic computer skills
• The ability to drive and load all heavy equipment (i.e. all terrain forklift, skid steer, excavating equipment)
• Run day-to-day operations of shop (i.e. Schedule deliveries, maintenance on all equipment, place part orders as needed)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Qualified applicants must possess valid driver's license, reliable transportation of their own
• Must be able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Will be delivering equipment and materials to jobsites typically in the metro area
• Maintain equipment and tools keeping them clean and in good running order
• Small engine repair
• General shop clean up
• Power washing
• General day to day maintenance
• Must have the ability to work long, flexible hours
• Maintain a clean work area and meet or exceed our safety and quality standards
• Material loading and unloading, hauling and hosting of materials
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Work with all field staff and educate them on how to maintain equipment and how to make minor fixes

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Highly organized, with the ability to communicate with multiple superintendents
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Able to organize and keep inventory of all tools, trailers, and equipment
• Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed.
• Problem solving skills
• Manage equipment and logistics for TR Concrete, TR Masonry, TR Excavating and WonderWash
• Oversee 1-2 shop hands

Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a self-starter, have good communication skills and the ability to adapt to ever-changing jobsite needs. The requirements listed are a standard minimum, we welcome knowledge from other trades as well.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Class A driver's license

*Employee would work 40-45hrs/week starting at 5:30am (daily start and finish at the shop)
